Steve Leslie

Steve began his study of guitar in Auburn, New York at the age of seven. Steve’s father, a boilermaker by trade, was there on a four month job and the family moved there until it was finished. On completion of the job, the family returned home to Missouri and Steve continued to study and hone his skills. By the time he was 15, he was passing on his knowledge of the instrument to his own students and had started performing in small clubs in the Midwest.
Several bands later, Steve was accepted to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston. After graduating with a BS in Professional Music, he returned home again, this time with a band he had recorded with while in Boston. After two months of rehearsals, the group relocated to New Jersey and began showcasing their talents to record labels and management companies. After several “close calls” with success, the band called it quits. Steve continued to perform with a multitude of talented East Coast musicians, opening for national acts such as: Blue Oyster Cult, White Lion, Jason Aldean, Joe Nichols, Cheap Trick, Night Ranger, Wynona, Rick Derringer, RTZ (featuring Brad Delp of BOSTON) and Ace Frehley of KISS.
Currently, Steve is performing as many as six shows per week in St. Louis and surrounding areas in support of his second CD, “CORE”. Songs from the latest CD can be heard on local radio as well as internet based radio stations. He has also performed on St. Louis television channel 5.
Steve has performed and recorded with artist such as: TM Stevens, ( Joe Cocker, The Pretenders), Bernie Worrell (P-Funk), Stephanie Eulinberg (Kid Rock), Will Calhoun (Living Color), Al Pitrelli (Alice Cooper) and many other talented musicians that have taught him so much.
